Dhaka: The Italian Embassy has advised all visa applicants that the submission of visa applications will be temporarily suspended at all Italian visa offices worldwide due to scheduled technical maintenance.
According to a notice published on the Embassy’s official Facebook page on Monday, no visa applications of any category can be submitted on February 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18. During this period, VFS Global has been instructed not to collect new visa applications or requests for withdrawal.
However, the Embassy clarified that only additional documents requested by the Embassy for already submitted applications will be accepted during the maintenance window.
The Embassy has also urged applicants with urgent travel plans to Italy between February 11 and 18 to submit their visa applications by the beginning of February. It noted that the visa processing system may take up to 10 days to authorize the issuance of a visa, which could cause delays if applications are submitted late.
Visa applicants have been advised to plan accordingly to avoid inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of services.
