Dhaka: The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has extended its ongoing airspace restriction on Indian aircraft until February 24, said a media report, citing a NOTAM, on Tuesday, January 20.
Earlier, on December 17, PAA had extended the restriction until January 23. The new NOTAM came just three days before the previous extension was due to expire.
The airspace restriction applies to all India-registered aircraft, in addition to those operated, owned, or leased by Indian airlines, operators, and military.
India and Pakistan have closed their airspaces to each other's aircraft since April 2025, following an attack near Pahalgam in India's Jammu and Kashmir region that killed 26 Indian nationals.
In the aftermath of the attack, Delhi held Pakistan responsible for the incident, which Islamabad denied. The dispute escalated bilateral tensions and led to reciprocal restrictions.
