Dhaka: The Qatar Ministry of Interior has announced a one-month extension for all types of entry visas that have expired or are nearing expiry, effective from February 28.
According to the ministry, the visa extensions will be processed electronically and free of charge. Applicants will not need to visit any government offices or submit additional applications to benefit from the extension.
The move is expected to ease concerns among visitors whose visas have either recently expired or are set to expire soon, allowing them additional time to regularize their stay without incurring extra fees.
However, the ministry clarified that individuals with violations dated prior to February 28 will be required to pay the applicable fines and penalties in accordance with existing regulations.
The announcement comes as part of efforts to streamline administrative procedures and facilitate services for residents and visitors in Qatar.
