Dhaka: Thousands of Bangladeshis are annually receiving advanced, next-generation medical care at MedPark Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. They are benefitting from the hospital’s advanced diagnostic and treatment services, particularly for complex and high-acuity cases.
This came forth at press conference held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on April 11 by MedPark Hospital on the sidelines of Dhaka Travel Mart 2026.
Representatives from the hospital included Dr Virat Pinyopornpanit, Internal Medicine Specialist; Dr Yongyut Kongthanarat, Radiation Oncologist; Dr Waiwit Sanguanwongwan, Orthopedic Surgeon; and Kazi Sharhan Saif, Manager of International Marketing (Bangladesh and South Africa).
Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Bangladesh, attended the event as the Chief Guest. She informed, the number of Bangladeshi travelers seeking medical treatment in Thailand is growing exponentially, adding that, 65,000 Bangladeshi travelers are visiting Thailand for medical purposes annually.
MedPark Hospital in Bangkok is one of the leading hospitals taking care of these patients, said Dr Virat Pinyopornpanit, Internal Medicine Specialist, from MedPark.
Dr Yongyut Kongthanarat, Radiation Oncologist, mentioned, comprehensive cancer care is a major focus area. Genetic testing is available for multiple types of cancer, enabling early detection, risk assessment, and personalized treatment planning.
The orthopedic department provides subspecialized care in spine, hip and knee, foot and ankle, trauma surgery, shoulder, and sports medicine, added Dr Waiwit Sanguanwongwan, Orthopedic Surgeon.
MedPark Hospital operates a dedicated help desk for Bangladeshi patients at its registration area, supported by more than 10 Bangla-speaking coordinators providing translation and assistance, shared Kazi Sharhan Saif, Manager, International Marketing (Bangladesh and South Africa).
