Dhaka: The United Kingdom has expressed its interest in working closely with Bangladesh on key issues, including migration, criminal justice, and security.
The matter was discussed during a meeting between Bangladesh’s Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke in Dhaka on Sunday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed shared priorities such as migration management, cooperation in criminal justice, and broader security issues, read a Facebook post of the UK embassy.
The discussion also highlighted the longstanding partnership between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom.
The British envoy congratulated the home minister on assuming his new role and expressed hope that the two countries would continue to work closely together in the coming days.
