US-Bangla resuming flights to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi

Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines, one of the leading private carriers of the country, will be resuming flights to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi from March 13 and March 14 respectively.

With a view to repatriating Bangladeshi expatriates before Eid al-Fitr holidays amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the airline will be operating four weekly flights from Dhaka to Sharjah on Fridays, Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Flights from Dhaka to Abu Dhabi will be operated three times a week on Saturdays, Mondays, and Thursdays.

In addition, a direct flight from Chattogram to Abu Dhabi will be departing every Monday.

Flights from Dhaka to Sharjah will be departing at 8:45 pm, and return flights from Sharjah at 1:30 am (local time).

To Abu Dhabi, flights from Dhaka will be departing at 5:50 pm on Saturdays and Thursdays, and at 3:55 pm on Mondays via Chattogram. The direct flight from Chattogram to Abu Dhabi will be departing at 5:50 pm on Mondays. Return flights from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka will be departing at 10:10 pm (local time).

Flights on the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi routes will be operated using the Boeing 737‑800 aircraft. Currently, the US-Bangla fleet includes 25 aircraft, comprising three 436-seat Airbus A330‑300 and nine 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

It may be mentioned here, US-Bangla Airlines continues to operate daily flights from Dhaka to Dubai. The airline also operates flights to key Middle Eastern destinations including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Muscat. The airline also plans to resume flights from Dhaka to Doha soon.
