US-Bangla to operate two special Dhaka–Dubai flights to repatriate stranded Bangladeshis

Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines has announced the operation of two special flights on the Dhaka–Dubai–Dhaka route to facilitate the repatriation of Bangladeshi nationals stranded in the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing Middle East crisis.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the private carrier said the humanitarian flights are aimed at supporting Bangladeshis facing uncertainty, particularly those whose visas have expired or are close to expiry.

The first special flight will depart Dhaka for Dubai on Wednesday, March 4, at 7:20pm (BST), with the return leg leaving Dubai at 12:20am (local time) for Dhaka.

A second flight is scheduled to depart Dhaka on Thursday (5 March) at 5:15pm (BST), while the return service will leave Dubai at 10:00pm (local time).

The flights will be operated using a 436-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft to ensure sufficient capacity for urgent travelers. The flight numbers are BS341 (Dhaka to Dubai) and BS342 (Dubai to Dhaka).

According to the airline, Dubai airport authorities have granted special permission to US-Bangla Airlines, along with other international carriers, to operate the humanitarian services considering the prevailing situation.
