Dhaka: US Ambassador in Dhaka Brent T. Christensen has extended warm greetings to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of Pohela Boishakh, praising the vibrant celebrations held in the capital.
In a message shared on social media, the envoy described this year’s festivities in Dhaka as “truly incredible,” highlighting the lively music, dance performances, and colorful decorations that marked the Bengali New Year.
“The energy and joy were unforgettable,” Ambassador Christensen said, noting that the festive atmosphere reflected the rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh.
He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year, adding that such joyous moments are memorable and bring people together in celebration.
Pohela Boishakh, observed on April 14, is the biggest cultural festival in Bangladesh, celebrated with traditional events, fairs, and community gatherings across the country.
