Dhaka: Ascott Hotels Dhaka announces the appointment of Mahmud Russel as their new Hotel Manager for Ascott the Residence and Ascott Palace, both located in Baridhara Diplomatic Zone in the capital.

Russel has been in the hospitality business for over 14 years and is experienced in working in the city business hotel and the destination resort as lead sales and marketing.

In his former role, Russel was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Sea Pearl Hospitality Group, and during the two years and seven months’ time, he was leading the Sales and Marketing team for Sea Pearl Beach Resort and Spa in Cox’s Bazar, Sea Pearl Cruises and hotel La Villa Western managed by Sea Pearl.

Prior to joining the Sea Pearl formerly known as Royal Tulip in December 2019, Russel served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Ascott Group Hotels. He was responsible for the company’s increasing development and expansion efforts into high growth, emerging markets both nationally and internationally.

On this occasion, Russel said, “I am honored to resume with Ascott Hotels Dhaka. With full enthusiasm, I am taking this new role to continue successfully implementing ambitious plans and tasks together with the hotel’s team and to strengthen the flawless reputation of the leading Ascott hotels in Dhaka.”
