Dhaka: Azam Khan has joined SAMAN Group as Chief Operating Officer (COO) with effect from March 1, 2025. SAMAN Group deals with lubricants, agro and food, work terminal (co-working space), e-commerce, properties, and communications.

Prior to joining SAMAN Group, Khan had been serving Mutual Trust Bank PLC since 2016 in various capacities including Head of Communications and Member of Management Committee, Sustainable Finance Committee, Executive Risk Management Committee, and General Secretary of MTB Club.

Azam Khan began his career as Assistant Publication Officer with Voluntary Health Services Society in 1988. Later, he joined Caritas Bangladesh as Public Relations Officer in 1993.

He also served Standard Bank PLC as Public Relations Officer, Dutch Bangla Bank PLC as Public Relations Officer, Dhaka Bank PLC as Head of PR Office, and First Security Islami Bank PLC as Head of Marketing and Development as well as Head of Public Relations.

Khan completed his post-graduation from the Department of International Relations of University of Dhaka in 1988.
