Etihad, Air Cambodia enter codeshare partnership

Dhaka: Etihad Airways, one of the national airlines of the UAE, and Air Cambodia, the national airline of Cambodia, signed a codeshare agreement on April 28.

Under the arrangement, Etihad customers will be able to book flights from anywhere across the carrier's network to Siem Reap via Phnom Penh on a single ticket, with baggage checked through to their final destination.

Meanwhile, Air Cambodia passengers will gain access to Etihad's services between Phnom Penh and Abu Dhabi.

Siem Reap, one of the most captivating destinations in Southeast Asia, is globally renowned for its iconic Angkor Wat temple complex, while the city's vibrant night markets, traditional Khmer cuisine, and rich cultural experiences offer an immersive travel experience.

Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad Airways, said Cambodia is an important and growing market within the airline's network, with increasing demand for travel to and from the destination.

He added that the partnership enables the carrier to extend that reach, providing guests with seamless access between Siem Reap and the wider region through a single booking via Abu Dhabi.

Eng Molina, chief commercial officer at Air Cambodia, said the partnership strengthens connections between Southeast Asia and the Middle East, giving Air Cambodia passengers direct access to Abu Dhabi, an important hub for business, trade, and tourism.

Additionally, Etihad guests can access Air Cambodia's Vietnamese network through the airlines' interline partnership. This opens up further travel options across Southeast Asia, including Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and Phu Quoc.

Etihad launched flights to Phnom Penh in October 2025, linking the Cambodian capital with Abu Dhabi. The airline currently operates four weekly services on this route.
