Dhaka: Domestic flights across Bangladesh will resume on a limited scale from April 21, said the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh today.
CAAB Chairman Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman said details regarding the resumption of domestic flight operations will be given later in a circular.
On April 5, CAAB suspended all domestic flight operations across Bangladesh following the government’s instructions to curb the spread of coronavirus.
US-Bangla and NOVOAIR has already announced to resume flights from Dhaka to five domestic destinations: Chattogram, Sylhet, Jashore, Saidpur, and Barishal.
CAAB Chairman further said even though the flights are open for all, yet special priority must given to the migrant workers who are coming to Dhaka from different cities in Bangladesh to catch international flights to their respective work destinations abroad.
