EBL Women Banking supports “SME Exhibition: Showcasing Impact” as a partner
EBL Women Banking as a partner supported “SME Exhibition: Showcasing Impact” event held in Dhaka recently. Corinne Henchoz Pignani, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh presenting a crest to Marina Huq, Co-Founder and Director of Baah handicrafts, winner of the pitching session organized during the event. Tanzeri Hoque, EBL Head of Priority and Women Banking; Sharawwat Islam, Managing Director, Truvalu Bangladesh are also seen among others

Dhaka: Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) partnered with ‘SME Exhibition: Showcasing Impact’, an event dedicated to fostering investment opportunities for SMEs and startups, particularly those led by or benefiting women. Organized by Truvalu Bangladesh with support from the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, the fair brought together financial institutions, investors, and ecosystem enablers to enhance access to capital for gender-inclusive businesses.

The event was inaugurated by Corinne Henchoz Pignani, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh. Sharawwat Islam, Managing Director, Truvalu Bangladesh was also present at the ceremony.

On sideline of the exhibition Pitching Sessions was organized to provide entrepreneurs with the platform to showcase their ventures to potential investors, strengthening their access to finance and market reach. Tanzeri Hoque, EBL Head of Priority and Women Banking participated as a panelist in the Pitching Sessions. 

The daylong event held at a city hotel also featured exhibition stalls, networking sessions, and an awards segment recognizing the most promising businesses.
