Emirates launching flights to three new destinations in Asia

Dhaka: Emirates, on March 3, announced plans to increase its footprint across Asia, with the launch of flight services to three new destinations—China’s Shenzhen, Vietnam’s Da Nang, and Cambodia’s Siem Reap.

The Dubai based airline will be commencing daily direct services between Dubai and Shenzhen from July 1, 2025. Emirates will also be launching four weekly flights to Da Nang on June 2, 2025. Three weekly flights to Siem Reap will be introduced on June 3, 2025. However, both Da Nang and Siem Reap will be connected to Dubai via Bangkok in Thailand.

Speaking on the development, Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Emirates, said, “Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets.”

“Vietnam holds a strategic place in the Emirates’ Southeast Asia network, following the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and Vietnam,” he further mentioned.

“Emirates is also making it easier for travellers to connect to Siem Reap, home to Angkor Wat, one of Cambodia’s most popular destinations with its incredible ancient wonders and natural beauty,” Kazim informed.

It may be mentioned here, Emirates now flies to 24 destinations in East Asia, offering 269 weekly flights from Dubai—making it the largest and most diversified route network among any non-Asian East Asian airline.

The latest expansion also marks Emirates’ fourth gateway into the Chinese mainland, third destination in Vietnam and second point in Cambodia.

Also, with the launch to Shenzhen, Emirates will become the first Middle Eastern carrier to serve the destination. The airline will operate its upgraded Boeing 777-300ER, featuring four-class cabins, including Premium Economy. The airline also expects to transport 10 tonnes of cargo per flight, supporting high-tech and e-commerce exports.

Emirates’ services to Da Nang via Bangkok make it the airline’s third gateway into Vietnam, after Hanoi and Ho Chih Minh City. The airline will operate Boeing 777 on the route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Emirates flights to Siem Reap will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with a stop in Bangkok with two-class Boeing 777-300ERs.
