Jeddah: Saudi budget airline Flyadeal has announced its summer 2025 expansion, reintroducing five popular seasonal destinations while adding Salalah, Oman, to its network for the first time. Flights to these destinations will begin on June 19.

The airline confirmed the return of several key routes, including the Turkish getaway Trabzon, the capital cities of Azerbaijan and Georgia—Baku and Tbilisi—along with the Egyptian resort town of Sharm El Sheikh and Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

New to Flyadeal’s summer schedule, Salalah is a coastal retreat renowned for its lush, monsoon-fed landscapes and unspoiled beaches. Tickets for all destinations are now on sale.

The airline, which describes itself as Saudi Arabia’s youngest and fastest-growing low-cost carrier, will operate 13 routes across these six seasonal destinations. Flights will depart from flyadeal’s hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam over a 10-week period during the holiday season.

Steven Greenway, flyadeal’s CEO, said, “This time of the year is always anticipated as consumers and the travel trade are eager to see which destinations we will operate for the busy summer season. We’re therefore delighted to bring back some of our popular and customer-favourite destinations in Turkey, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to our network.”

He added, “With Oman also joining our expanded summer programme, which is likely to grow even further with additional routes to be announced over the next few weeks, the seasonal network promises to be exciting and adventurous for holidaymakers planning a short or long break with friends and families, especially during the school holidays.”

The new routes will be operated using flyadeal’s Airbus A320 aircraft fleet, increasing the airline’s international presence from seven to 13 destinations spanning the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and South Asia. The carrier’s year-round international network currently includes Amman (Jordan), Cairo and Sohag (Egypt), Istanbul (Turkey), Dubai International and Dubai World Central (UAE), and Karachi (Pakistan). Domestically, the airline serves 16 destinations across Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand to Al Jouf, Gurayat, and Arar from March 30, 2025.

By 2030, the airline plans to triple its network and fleet, targeting over 100 destinations served by more than 100 aircraft. With a young fleet of 37 Airbus A320 aircraft flying from Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, flyadeal has transported over 33 million passengers since its inaugural flight.

In May 2024, the airline placed its largest-ever aircraft order—51 Airbus jets, including 12 A320neos and 39 larger A321neos—with deliveries starting in 2026.
