Hotel Grand Park Barishal’s Victory Day art contest successfully concludes

Dhaka: Hotel Grand Park Barishal’s Victory Day Art Competition 2024 concluded successfully with much participation from schoolchildren, according to a release.

105 talented students registered for the contest while 67 participated. The students, divided into two groups (Group 1—Class 3, 4, and 5; and Group 2—Class 6, 7, and 8), showcased their creativity and patriotism through vibrant artworks, said the release.

Samapty Roy, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of Barishal, attended the event as the chief guest.

Renowned artist Shushanta Paul, also a member of Fine Art Institute, and Correspondent of Daily Star, Barishal; as well as Trainers of Fine Art Institute, Barishal Sabbir Mahmud and Tasnim Mahmud were the judges.

Mohinul Islam, Acting Operation Manager, Hotel Grand Park Barishal, delivered the inaugural address.

After the inauguration ceremony, the art contest began at 10:30 am and concluded at 11:30 am. Once the contest was over, the entries were judged and the best ones were announced the winners during the prize distribution ceremony.

The event was part of the hotel’s efforts to share the spirit of Bangladesh’s Victory Day, as young artists of the contest honored the legacy of 1971 in their artworks.
