Dhaka: Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has celebrated 11 years of uninterrupted operations in Bangladesh, underscoring its long-standing commitment to the country’s aviation market.
The milestone was marked with a cake-cutting ceremony at Oman Air’s city office in Gulshan, Dhaka recently. The event was attended by Abu Saleh Rizvee, Sales Manager of Oman Air; Ahmed Yusuf Walid, President and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Bangladesh, the airline’s General Sales Agent (GSA) in Bangladesh; and Taufiq Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of Galaxy Bangladesh. Officials and staff members of the GSA, along with representatives from affiliated offices, were also present at the celebration.
Currently, Oman Air operates five weekly flights from Bangladesh, providing passengers with seamless connectivity to its growing global network.
With a modern fleet of 33 aircraft, the airline serves 44 destinations worldwide, linking major cities across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe. As part of its strategic expansion plan, Oman Air is set to launch new services to Taif from 31 January 2026 and Singapore from 2 July 2026. The airline has also recently commenced operations to Baghdad, offering onward connections to Copenhagen.
