Dhaka: The 17th edition of the biggest international tourism extravaganza Triplover Dhaka Travel Mart 2022 is currently taking place at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.
The three-day long international tourism fair began on June 2 and will go on till June 4. It was inaugurated by the State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali as the Chief Guest.

The fair has been welcoming thousands of visitors each day since opening while a total of about 50 organisations, representing national tourism organisations, airlines, tour operators, hotels, resorts, travel agencies, online travel agencies, healthcare service providers from home and abroad are participating.
Before the pandemic when the fair was organised in 2019, it witnessed total sales of BDT 5 crore in three days. This year, the organisers mentioned they are estimating total sales of BDT 25 crore, seeing the huge response they are getting from the travel enthusiasts, tired staying at home for two years and itching to travel now finally, as the coronavirus situation has been contained globally.
To the delight of the visitors, attractive special offers and discounts on travel packages, air tickets, and hotel accommodation, among others, are being offered by the participating organisations during the fair.

Also, attractive door prizes are being offered through a raffle draw. Visitors can win couple air tickets to several popular international tourism destinations including Male, Singapore, and Cox’s Bazar, sponsored by US-Bangla Airlines; Sharjah by Biman Bangladesh Airlines; Delhi by Vistara; Dubai by Jazeera Airways, and Kolkata by NOVOAIR.
At the fair, country's largest private carrier US-Bangla Airlines is offering 10 per cent discount on any domestic or international flight in its network. Also, with any couple ticket to Maldives or Cox's Bazar, the airline is offering free hotel accommodation of two nights, announced Md Kamrul Islam, General Manager (Public Relations) of the airline, the co-sponsor of the fair.
The national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines is offering 15 per cent discount on all international air tickets and also 20 per cent discount on six particular routes including Kathmandu, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangkok, among others, said Md Zahid Hossain, Director (Additional Secretary), Sales and Marketing, of the airline, airline partner of the fair.
The fair can be visited till June 4 from 10 am to 8 pm on payment of an entry fee of BDT 40 per person. Leading Online Travel Agency (OTA) Triplover is playing host as Title Sponsor of the fair.
