Dhaka : Biman Bangladesh Airlines has appointed Zahid Hossain as the new Managing Director and CEO on July 13, 2022.
Earlier, Zahid Hossain joined Biman in February as Director (Additional Secretary).
Prior to that, he was a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
On July 13, Zahid Hossain has been made the new boss of the national flag carrier.
Public Administration Ministry in a circular on July 13 announced the change in the vital post of Biman.
Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal, the immediate past MD and CEO of Biman, has been made DG of Social welfare department.
He was the 42nd MD and CEO of the airline. This makes Zahid Hossain the 43rd MD and CEO of the flag carrier.
It may be mentioned here that Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal joined Biman in February 2021. He was only able to serve the airline for 17 months.
