Hong Kong : Cathay Pacific and SITA have unveiled a partnership to enhance network connectivity at 51 airports worldwide.
The collaboration, part of Cathay Pacific's drive to adopt cloud applications while supporting legacy systems, will see network bandwidth increase by up to five times, ensuring faster and more reliable connectivity.
The renewed partnership builds on Cathay Pacific's long-standing relationship with SITA, transitioning from the original SITA Connect to the newly launched SITA Connect Go service.
This next-generation solution will offer the airline access to bandwidths of up to 300 Mbps across its airport network, supporting smoother operations.
The rollout, set to be completed over a 12-month design, build, and implementation phase, will focus on delivering enhanced performance at every stage.
SITA Connect Go employs dual Internet connectivity to boost efficiency, scalability, and security.
On the development, Sumesh Patel, Asia President Asia Pacific, SITA, said, "SITA Connect Go offers a robust, scalable, and secure SD-WAN platform to meet the need for the growing bandwidth demand and helps airlines shift their focus towards their customers."
Rajeev Nair, General Manager, IT Infrastructure and Security, Cathay Pacific, added, "Airlines across the world have a clear need for strong and robust airport infrastructure so that we can center our attention on providing the optimal passenger experience."
