New Delhi : IndiGo was the world's sixth-largest carrier by passenger volume in March, according to the UK-based Official Airline Guide (OAG), a leading global travel data provider.
As per OAG Frequency and Capacity Statistics data, over 2.02 million passengers flew IndiGo in March - the only airline from India to make it to the top 10 in the list.
The airline also made it to the top 10 globally for the number of seats offered (47,833) in March, bagging the number 08 position with a 41 per cent jump from the previous month.
The OAG noted that while South East Asia remains furthest behind its 2019 capacity level, the India-led South Asia region is seeing strong month-on-month growth. Although far behind the US and China in terms of seats offered, India is still the third-largest domestic market in the world.
