Jazeera Airways launches direct flights on Chattogram-Kuwait route

Chattogram : Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's leading low-cost carrier, on January 24, launched flights from Chattogram to Kuwait. 
Initially, the airline is operating three weekly flights on Kuwait-Chattogram-Kuwait route. 
The airline's flight J9 535 departs Kuwait at 00:35 am and arrives in Chattogram at 08:45 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while the return flight J9 536 departs Chattogram at 09:45 am and reaches Kuwait at 13:35 pm local time on the same days.  
The service is the second for the airline to Bangladesh, following the launch of Dhaka flights in October 2020, serving over 200,000 Bangladeshis living in Kuwait and connecting to more across the GCC region, the airline said in a press release. 
Andrew Word, Vice President (Marketing and Customer Experience), Bharathan Ravindran, VP (Sales) of Jazeera Airways along with Ahmed Yousuf Walid, CEO and President of Jet Aviation Ltd, the GSA of the airline in Bangladesh, were present at the press conference held at a city hotel to announce the launch of Chattogram-Kuwait flights of the airline.
On the occasion, Rohit Ramachandran, CEO, Jazeera Airways, said in the press release, "Jazeera Airways continues to expand its footprint in the Asian continent with its second service to Bangladesh. Following the launch of flights to Dhaka in 2020, our new flights to and from Chattogram will serve the large community of Bangladeshis working in Kuwait and connecting with other Gulf countries, with very competitive fares, through our Terminal 5 in Kuwait."
Flights will also connect on to Saudi Arabia, Muscat in Oman and Dubai. 
It may be mentioned here, Jazeera recently completed an order with Airbus at the Dubai Airshow for 28 new aircraft: 20 A320neos, and eight A321neos. The order is valued in excess of USD 3.3 billion at list prices. 
The airline flies to over 45 popular destinations across the Middle East, Central and South Asia, Africa and Europe.
