Dhaka : NOVOAIR resumed scheduled flights to Kolkata from March 27 with daily flights on Dhaka-Kolkata route.
Every day, the flight to Kolkata departs Dhaka Airport at 5:20 pm while the return flight to Dhaka leaves Kolkata Airport at 6:40 pm (local time) on the same day.
NOVOAIR has also announced holiday packages to Kolkata.
It may be mentioned here that the Director General of Civil Aviation of India gave permission to operate scheduled commercial flights to and from India from March 27.
Earlier, commercial flights to/from Kolkata were suspended from March 25, 2020 as per the Director General of Civil Aviation of India's directive in an effort to contain the coronavirus spread.
Meanwhile, special flights were operated between Bangladesh and India under an air bubble agreement, instead of scheduled flights.
Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily eight flights from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, five to Chattogram, Saidpur and Jashore, three to Sylhet, one to Barishal and Rajshahi.
