Dhaka : US-Bangla Airlines, the largest private carrier of the country, on September 1, launched two international flights on Dhaka-Bangkok and Chattogram-Kolkata routes.
The maiden flight on Dhaka-Bangkok route took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital around 10:10am and landed at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 1:40 pm (local time), the airlines said in a press release.
The return flight left Bangkok at 2:40 pm (local time) on the same day and arrived in Dhaka at 4:20 pm.
The airline is operating flights on the Dhaka-Bangkok route five days a week, except for Mondays and Wednesdays.
Meanwhile, the maiden flight on Chattogram-Kolkata route took off from Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram around 10:15am and landed at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport at 11:40 pm (local time).
The return flight left Kolkata at 12:40 pm (local time) on the same day and arrive in Chattogram at 2:10 pm.
The flight on Chattogram-Kolkata-Chattogram route is operated seven days a week.
Apart from operating flights on all domestic routes, US-Bangla currently operates flights to global destinations like Singapore, Chennai, Male, Guangzhou, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Sharjah, Dubai and Muscat.
