Dubai : After spending 34 years at FedEx, rising from a truck washer to Senior Vice President, Hamdi Osman has launched SolitAir, a UAE-based cargo airline.
SolitAir operates Boeing 737-800 freighters and connects over 50 cities within six hours of Dubai, focusing on fast and reliable B2B cargo transportation.
The airline already runs scheduled flights to Dhaka, Riyadh, and Hong Kong, with plans to expand to India, Africa, and the Middle East.
Osman, also an investor and co-founder of Innoventures Education, raised USD 35.5 million in the first funding round and plans to secure USD 40 million more for future growth.
With 60 employees, 48 of whom have aviation experience, Osman aims to revolutionize cargo logistics.
