Renaissance Dhaka brings Ottoman flavors to guests

Dhaka : Food enthusiasts in the capital are set for a rich culinary experience as Bahar Restaurant at the Rena-issance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel launches a special Turkish-themed buffet titled "A Taste of Turkey."

The limited-time dining event will run from April 30 to May 30, 2026, and will be available every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.

The initiative aims to introduce guests to the depth and diversity of traditional Turkish cuisine through an immersive dining experience.

The buffet menu features a wide selection of authentic dishes, beginning with fresh salads and appetizers such as Gavurdagi Salad, Kisir, and Muha-mmara.

Guests can also enjoy classic Turkish soups including lentil and Tarhana, followed by an assortment of cold and hot meze like Haydari, Cacik, Sigara Böregi, and Kibbeh.

Main course offerings highlight signature Anatolian flavors with dishes such as Karniyarik, Imam Bayildi, and Etli Nohut, alongside Turkish-style pilaf and roasted meats.

Live cooking stations will serve freshly prepared Doner Kebab, traditional Pide, and Dolma varieties, adding an interactive element to the dining experience.

A key attraction is the Ottoman carving station, featuring specialties like Hünkar Begendi and roasted lamb, inspired by royal Turkish cuisine traditions.

The dessert spread includes popular Turkish sweets such as Baklava, Turkish Delight (Lokum), Sutlac, and Revani, with a live Kunefe station offering freshly made servings of the iconic dessert.

Renaissance Dhaka always tries to bring something unique for guests to enjoy, said the hotel. This initiative is also part of that efforts, concluded a release.
