Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced the temporary suspension of its regular flights on the Dhaka/Sylhet–Manchester–Dhaka/Sylhet route, with the suspension now set to take effect from March 1, 2026, until further notice.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the airline’s Board of Directors had earlier decided to suspend operations on the route from February 1, 2026. However, considering the interests of ticket-holding passengers, the board later revised its decision and deferred the suspension date by one month.

“As per the revised decision, regular flights on the Dhaka/Sylhet–Manchester–Dhaka/Sylhet route will be temporarily suspended from March 1, 2026, instead of the previously announced February 1, 2026,” the release said.

Biman stated that passengers affected by the suspension will be provided necessary assistance in line with the airline’s existing policies. This includes options for travel on alternative flights on the Dhaka–London–Dhaka route, changes to travel dates, or ticket refunds.

Passengers have been advised to contact Biman Bangladesh Airlines’ sales offices in Dhaka or London, the Biman Call Centre (13636 or +880 96109-13636), or authorized travel agents for support and further information.

The national flag carrier expressed sincere regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to passengers and sought their cooperation. Biman also noted that passengers will be informed in due course once flights on the Dhaka/Sylhet–Manchester route are resumed.
