Dhaka: Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier Flyadeal has begun operations on Jeddah–Dhaka route on October 22, 2025. With this, the airline marked its entry into the Bangladesh market, while the aircraft upon landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital was welcomed with a water canon salute.
The airline’s maiden flight took off from Dhaka Airport with 207 passengers. Flyadeal is operating A330-200 aircraft, with an all-economy configuration.
Prior to the maiden flight’s departure, a cake cutting ceremony to inaugurate the airline’s operations in Bangladesh took place at Dhaka Airport’s conference hall.

Initially, Flyadeal is operating two weekly flights between the two cities: flight F3 9112 departs Jeddah at 1:30 am local time, while the return service, flight F3 9113, departs Dhaka at 1:00 pm local time.
Although a budget airline, Flyadeal offers complimentary meal service on board the Dhaka route. The carrier has also announced a generous baggage allowance for travelers:
- Onward (DAC–JED): 30 kg check-in baggage + 7 kg hand carry
- Return (JED–DAC): 46 kg check-in baggage + 7 kg hand carry
The new service is aimed at strengthening connectivity between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, catering to both expatriate workers and leisure travelers seeking affordable air travel options.
