Dhaka: The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a reduction in jet fuel prices for both domestic and international airlines, effective from September 10.
According to the new rates, the price of Jet A-1 fuel for domestic carriers has been reduced by Tk 3.53 per litre, down from Tk 99.62 to Tk 96.09.
For international airlines, the price has been lowered by $0.0169 per litre — from $0.6502 to $0.6333.
The revised rates came into effect at 12 noon on Tuesday, BERC said in a statement.
The regulator added that the adjustment was based on the average Platts pricing between August 5 and September 4, 2025.
Following the revision, Bangladeshi carriers will now purchase jet fuel at Tk 96.09 per litre, while both local and foreign airlines operating international routes will pay $0.6333 per litre.
