Dhaka: MASkargo, the cargo arm of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), has announced a strategic collaboration with Teleport, an integrated e-commerce logistics specialist under Capital A Berhad, to strengthen regional air cargo connectivity across Southeast Asia.
MASkargo said the collaboration combines its established global network, operational expertise, and strong market presence with Teleport's high-frequency, flexible intra-regional network, enabling more seamless cargo flows across key trade lanes to support emerging markets.
As part of the initiative, MASkargo will leverage dedicated freighter capacity operated by Teleport on selected routes, including services between Kuala Lumpur and Phnom Penh.
The partnership is aimed at enhancing transit times, flexibility, and routing options for MASkargo's customers while supporting growing demand across e-commerce, perishables, and general cargo segments in the region.
Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Services at MAG, said the partnership reflects MASkargo's focus on strengthening its regional network and aligning capacity with evolving market demand. He noted that global air cargo demand rose by over 11% year-on-year in February, positioning the carrier to capture emerging opportunities.
Jan Philipp Pöter, chief business officer of Teleport, said activating the Kuala Lumpur–Phnom Penh sector with the A321F would connect MASkargo's captured demand into its global network via Kuala Lumpur, unlocking stronger trade flows between Cambodia and international markets.
Pöter described the collaboration as just the beginning of a deeper partnership aimed at expanding regional connectivity and capturing more demand across both networks.
