Aviation.com.bd hosts certification ceremony, industry get-together; launches job portal Jobs360 with M360ICT

Dhaka: Aviation and tourism community engagement platform Aviation.com.bd hosted its first “Certification Ceremony” along with an industry get-together dinner at a restaurant in the capital yesterday, January 16.

The event, a formal certificate awarding ceremony, brought together experts, leaders, and professionals of the aviation and tourism industry in Bangladesh. This ceremony recognized a total of 25 students, who completed ground operations training courses under Aviation.com. bd.

Harunur Rashid, Founder and CEO of Aviation.com.bd, initiated the program with an inaugural speech and a detailed presentation on the platform. He said the platform began its journey from the motivation to improve the overall scenario of the aviation and tourism industry, focusing on the development of skilled manpower across the sector.

Later, distinguished guests, mainly industry leaders and aviation professionals, including Mobin Rashid, Country Manager - Bangladesh, Air Arabia; Dilara Hossain, Manager - Bangladesh Airports, Air Arabia and Chairman, Airline Operators Committee (AOC), Dhaka Airport; Taufiq Rahman, CEO, Journey Plus and Secretary, PATA Bangladesh Chapter; Zaki S Bari, Founder and Chairman, HB Aviation & Tourism Institute; Fahim Shariar, CEO, M360ICT; and M. Mashiur Rahman, General Manager and Head of Business Unit, Galaxy Holidays Limited and Galaxy Travel International, delivered their speeches.

The guests shared professional insights and industry experiences, along with words of encouragement and guidance for the newly certified students, who are yet to begin their professional careers in the aviation industry. In addition, they interacted directly with the students, fostering meaningful conversations, professional networking, and mentorship.

Following the speeches, Aviation.com.bd announced collaborative partnerships and Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with multiple organizations, including the Airline Operators Committee (AOC)—Dhaka, HB Aviation & Tourism Institute, and Avion Aerospace during the event. In partnership with M360ICT, the platform announced the launching of a new job portal, Jobs360, dedicated to the aviation and tourism industry, which will be live soon.

Aviation.com.bd remarked on the event as a successful gathering and stated that it allowed shared spaces for learning, recognition, and interaction that promoted strong industry bonds and collective growth and reinforced the platform’s vision for building a unified ecosystem that supports people, skills, and services across the aviation and tourism landscape in Bangladesh.

The country’s first integrated aviation and tourism community platform, Aviation.com.bd, began its journey on January 8, 2025. With its vision “Together We Connect—Collaborate—Promote—Inspire,” the platform aims to connect industry stakeholders and its people, foster collaboration to innovate and facilitate solutions, promote the industry collectively, and inspire the next generation of aviation and tourism professionals in Bangladesh.
