Dhaka: The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has revised restriction on carriage of passenger, to and from Bangladesh, for international flights. This restriction is in force from October 01, 2020 and will continue until further notice.
A circular in this regard issued on September 27 and signed by Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman specified the number of passengers, allowed to be carried by all the international flights, operated to and from Bangladesh. The specified numbers are: (a) Not more than 260 passengers for wide-body twin-aisle aircraft and (b) not more than 140 passengers for narrow-body single-aisle aircraft.
The circular further instructed that “the vacant seats shall include at least the last row of Economy Class and minimum one seat of Business Class (unless exempted by special consideration) dedicated for any suspected COVID-19 positive passenger.
The circular supersedes all previous circulars in this regard.
