Etihad introduces A321LR on Kolkata route

Dhaka: Etihad Airways will upgrade its daily Abu Dhabi–Kolkata service with the next-generation Airbus A321LR starting September 26, 2025.

The new aircraft will introduce luxury First Class suites, lie-flat Business Class seats, and advanced Economy cabins on one of India’s busiest air routes.

The Airbus A321LR will operate all flights between Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU), delivering an enhanced premium experience across all travel classes on this medium-haul corridor.

First Class Suites: Fully flat, forward-facing beds in a 1-1 layout for unmatched privacy and comfort

Business Class: 14 lie-flat seats designed for maximum relaxation on mid-length journeys

Economy Class: Modern seats with 4K touchscreen entertainment, high-speed Wi-Fi, and USB-C charging

The move comes as Etihad continues to strengthen its footprint in India, with improved connectivity to its growing global network via Abu Dhabi. The upgrade also positions Etihad as a more competitive choice for Indian travellers seeking comfort and premium service on regional routes.

With this upgrade, passengers travelling between the UAE and India can expect luxury, efficiency, and connectivity, underlining Etihad’s commitment to delivering a superior flying experience in one of its key international markets.
