Dhaka: The district administration of Cox’s Bazar, in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus, has ordered the hotels, motels, guest houses, resorts, restaurants, convention hall, and recreation centers of the popular tourist destination to strictly maintain health guidelines in a new circular issued on March 21.

The directives came in a range of areas. Any of the above-mentioned businesses must not serve customers without masks. And they cannot welcome more visitors than their respective capacities either.

Facilities of temperature check and hand sanitization must be arranged at the point of entry for everyone. And social distancing is another key guideline that must be maintained at all costs. Thus, the above-mentioned businesses cannot allow over 100 guests at any program.

For any violation of these directives, strict legal actions will be taken, said the directive of the district administration of the tourism hub Cox’s Bazar.
