Dhaka: Hotel Sayeman in Cox’s Bazar celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27 through various initiatives.

The hotel held several special events throughout the entire day to commemorate the occasion, such as a colourful rally, blood donation programme and beach cleaning initiative, among others.

A gala lunch was also held at the hotel premise for local media representatives as well as a cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion.

On the occasion, Cox’s Bazar Press Club also honoured Pubudu Fernando, Cluster General Manager of Sayeman Beach Resort and Sayeman Heritage Hotel, with a token of appreciation.

The recognition follow’s Fernando’s award win at South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) 2024 in Kathmandu, Nepal. At the ceremony, SATA dubbed Fernando as the best general manager in South Asia.

Vice President of Cox’s Bazar Press Club GAM Ashekullah handed over the crest to Fernando, while the latter handed over a token of appreciation to the former’s General Secretary Momtazuddin Bahari.

Hotel Sayeman’s Food and Beverage Manager Sarowar Alam, Executive Housekeeper Belal Hossain, HR Admin Morsalin Chowdhury, Operation Manager (Sayeman Heritage) Kamrul Hasan and representatives of Cox’s Bazar Press Club were also present on the occasion.
