Dhaka: MTB Air Lounge, operated by Mutual Trust Bank (MTB), won the Gold trophy in the Best Airport Lounge (Bangladesh) 2024 category at the ShareTrip–Monitor Airline of the Year Awards, held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on July 5.
The lounge earned top recognition not only for its comfort and service quality but also for its vast lounge access network across domestic and international airports in Dhaka, Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, and Sylhet, among others, which is now the widest among any Bangladeshi bank. This network gives MTB cardholders access to more than 1,000 airport lounges worldwide, elevating the overall value of its premium banking services.
The Silver award went to EBL SkyLounge, operated by Eastern Bank Limited, while the Bronze was awarded to City Bank American Express Lounge—rounding out a competitive category that reflects the growing standards of airport service in Bangladesh.
Located in the international departure terminal of HSIA, the Silver winner EBL SkyLounge has quickly set a new standard in lounge service since its launch. Catering primarily to premium EBL cardholders and international travelers, the lounge offers a blend of comfort, exclusivity, and convenience. The lounge is open 24/7 and has been lauded by both business and leisure travelers for its consistent service quality and cleanliness—contributing to its Silver win in this year’s awards.
