Muscat: Oman Air has announced the launch of its first-ever direct flights to Rome, marking its most significant route expansion in five years. Starting December 20, 2024 the airline will operate four weekly flights connecting Muscat with the Italian capital.
In a statement, Oman Air’s CEO, Con Korfiatis, said, “Our new direct flights to Rome represent an exciting step in our transformation. Marking our second destination in Italy, this key route not only enhances our European offerings, but also marks the start of our strategy to maximise the utilisation of our narrow-body fleet. As one of the most visited cities in the world, Rome is a perfect addition to our network. We are thrilled to offer our guests seamless and convenient access to the destinations they want to go to, while continuing to set new standards for service and hospitality.”
Oman Air guests can travel from Muscat to Rome on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Flights will depart Muscat at 15:00 and arrive in Rome at 19:30, while the return flight departs Rome and 20:20 and arrives back in Muscat at 05:45+1 (all times local).
