Dhaka: Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka held its annual fire drill at its premise on December 11, 2024, as part of the hotel’s efforts to ensure the safety and security of its guests, associates and stakeholders.

The important exercise is a part of the hotel’s comprehensive safety protocols and serves as an essential measure to enhance preparedness in case of emergencies, said a release.

The drill was carried out in collaboration with the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department and other relevant safety authorities.

The drill included Simulated Fire Response Exercises designed to evaluate the efficiency and coordination of their emergency response teams; Evacuation Procedures to ensure smooth and safe evacuation for all guests and staff; and Safety Demonstrations comprising practical demonstrations of fire safety equipment and best practices.

Prior to the drill, the hotel requested its guests and visitors to cooperate during the exercise and follow the guidance provided by their trained personnel. The drill was conducted with utmost care to minimise any inconvenience, concluded the release.
