The Empyrean Hotel granted three-star license

Dhaka: The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has granted a three-star category license to The Empyrean Hotel, operated by the Bangladesh Air Force Welfare Trust, according to an official notice issued by the Hotel and Restaurant Cell on January 1.

The license has been approved following an application submitted by the hotel authorities on March 22, 2025. The hotel is located at Building No-06 (Nirupama), Bangladesh Air Force Officers’ Quarters, Tejgaon, Dhaka.

As per the notice, the three-star license will remain valid for a period of three years from the date of issuance, subject to compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The hotel management is required to operate the establishment in accordance with the Bangladesh Hotel and Restaurant Act, 2014, and the Bangladesh Hotel and Restaurant Rules, 2016 (amended).

The government or the appropriate authority retains the right to cancel the license at any time in case of any violation of the law. It also reserves the authority to inspect the hotel periodically to assess service quality and standards. The hotel must further comply with directives issued by the government from time to time.
