Dubai Intl. Airport watches record 324K travelers on January 3

Dhaka: Dubai International Airport recorded its highest 324,000 passengers in a day on January 3, followed by a little lower 322,000 on the next day, January 4.

During the January travel boom, the airport expects around 3.4 million passengers in the first 10 days of the year. The daily traffic is projected to regularly exceed 300,000 travelers.

Dubai International Airport said it focused firmly on passenger comfort and efficiency amid these massive movements.

Meanwhile, the Dubai-based flag carrier Emirates also flagged a high volume of outbound passengers in this period. The airline advised passengers to reach the airport at least four hours before departure and use remote check-in options to avoid long queues.

For travelers, the travel surge brings multiple inconveniences, from busier terminals to longer queues at peak hours, and arriving at the airport earlier than usual.

Dubai International Airport, as one of the busiest airports in the world, serves as a global hub of air travel. The airport logged a record 92.3 million passengers in 2024, with the report for 2025 yet to be published.
