Hanoi: Vietnam Airlines, a SkyTeam member, will introduce direct flights between Hanoi and Milan, operating three times weekly from July 1, 2025.
It will be the first airline from Vietnam to offer nonstop service to Italy.
Flights will depart on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, utilizing Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
The route features 28 business class, 35 premium economy, and 211 economy seats.
Milan is Italy’s second largest city. In 2023, 37,800 passengers traveled from Milan to Vietnam – a 1.4 per cent increase compared to 2019.
In the first quarter of 2024, passenger numbers were up by 24 per cent compared to the same period in 2019.
The airline plans to expand with a Ho Chi Minh City-Milan service by the end of 2025, further strengthening its European network.
