Dhaka : The Business Genius Bangladesh program was held on August 9 at North South University (NSU), organized by Business Genius Bangladesh in collaboration with the Department of Marketing and International Business, NSU. The event was executed by the Federation of Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management (FoHTEM), with strategic partnership from Hotel Industry Insights by Arjo Khan.
Farazy Hospital Ltd and several other renowned corporate companies sponsored the event. Students from universities across Bangladesh showcased their talents through business idea presentations, ad-making contests, quizzes, cultural performances, and more.
The program also featured an AI-based seminar, question-and-answer sessions, meet-the-celebrity segments, live discussion shows, multimedia presentations, and an award ceremony.
The competitions were evaluated by judges from diverse professional backgrounds such as Jabed Sultan Pias, Chief Digital Business Officer, Prothom Alo Digital; Sabbir Nasir, Managing Director, ACI Logistics Ltd.; Md. Golam Rabby Ariyan, CEO, Dynasty Securities.
On the occasion, Professor Tanzim Uddin, Board Member, UGC, was the chief guest, Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor, NSU, and AKM Zabed, COO, Dekko Foods Ltd. were the guest of honor, Dr. Khandker Md. Nahin Mamun, Chairperson and Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing and International Business, NSU, was the special guest. Associate Prof. M. Abdullah Al Mamun, Chief Adviser, Business Genius Bangladesh, chaired the grand opening, while M A Nahiyan was the chief organizer.
Afran Nisho, Masuma Rahman Nabila, Raihan Rafi, Sadia Ayman, Irfan Sajjad, Iftakar Chowdhury, and Neel Hurerzahan, attended the program as the celebrity guests.
In the evening, Dilruba S. Khan, Group HR Director, AkijBashir Group, presented crests to winners of various competitions. Notably, Arjo Khan, General Manager, Hotel Iconic Dhaka and Founder, Hotel Industry Insights by Arjo Khan, was honored with the Excellence in Hotel Revival Award for his outstanding contributions to the hospitality industry.
