Dhaka: Discovery Tours and Logistic scooped the Leading Outbound Tour Operator accolade at the gala ceremony of Bangladesh Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2024 held in the capital on October 5.

Md Zahirul Alam Bhuiyan Roman, CEO of Discovery Tours and Logistic, received the award on behalf of the organisation.

Established in 2002, Discovery Tours and Logistic is the exclusive sales agent of FIFA World Cup and the official travel agent for ICC World Cup Cricket in Bangladesh. In 2014, it introduced the first-ever Trans Siberia Tour covering China-Mongolia-Russia in Bangladesh.

Discovery Tours operated a corporate group tour of 300 travellers from Bangladesh to Chiang Mai, Bangkok and Pattaya in 2003-which was considered the biggest of such a tour during that time.

The company beat its own record and operated the next biggest group tour of 400 travellers to Malaysia and Dubai in 2016.

Discovery Tours is the General Sales Agent of Star Cruise in Bangladesh.

It is also the authorised visa agent of many countries in Bangladesh including Singapore.
