Dhaka : All passengers traveling for Umrah or intending to perform Umrah or visit Saudi Arabia, regardless of visa type, must be vaccinated with Quadrivalent Neisseria meningitis vaccine effective February 1, 2025.
According to the latest health mandate by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, passengers must present a valid vaccination certificate at the check-in counter.
As per their directive, the meningitis vaccine is required to be polysaccharide (not over three years old) or conjugate type (not over five years old).
Also, the vaccine must be issued at least 10 days before arrival.
Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation informed about the new health requirements through a notice on January 7, 2025.
