Colombo : Sri Lanka has seen a significant influx of tourists, with 93,486 arrivals recorded in the first 22 days of June alone. According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the total number of tourist arrivals for the year, as of June 22, stands at 1,123,289.
The majority of visitors in June have arrived from India, followed by the United Kingdom, China, Bangladesh, Australia, Germany, and the United States.
Meaning, Bangladesh is the fourth largest source market for Sri Lanka currently with 5,035 visitors in June 2025.
This marks a milestone that highlights the island's growing appeal on the global travel map.
With its blend of golden beaches, ancient wonders, lush wildlife, and authentic cuisine, Sri Lanka continues to charm travelers from around the world.
