Bangkok : Thailand's tourism sector is experiencing a significant recovery, with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports announcing that foreign tourist arrivals have surpassed 22 million this year, generating over THB 1 trillion in revenue.
According to Natreeya Thaweewong, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, from January 1 to September 7, 2025, Thailand welcomed a total of 22,387,817 foreign visitors. This influx of tourists has generated over 1.037 trillion baht in revenue.
The top five nationalities visiting Thailand are: China (3,163,562 visitors), Malaysia (3,135,600 visitors), India (1,612,386 visitors), Russia (1,211,616 visitors), and South Korea (1,059,615 visitors).
September 1-7, 2025, saw 508,341 foreign tourists arrive, a 0.44 percent increase from the previous week. On average, Thailand welcomed 72,620 visitors per day.
