Dhaka : Tourist spots, resorts and recreation centres will reopen from August 19 as they have finally received permission from the government after months of hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a notification on August 12, the Cabinet Division said they will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent of the capacity following safety protocols.
It also said all public transport by road, rail, and rivers will be allowed to resume services from the same day following health guidelines.
Authorities must ensure compliance of the government-issued health safety protocols, including wearing of masks at outdoors, to contain Covid-19 transmission, the circular added.
Violation of health safety regulations might lead to legal consequences, which the authorities concerned would have to bear, it further claimed.
