Ticket refund to agents in BD
In line with the court-approved business rehabilitation plan, Thai Airways said repaid any amounts arising out of approved claims of ticket refunds.
Nond Kalinta, Chief Commercial Officer, Thai Airways, said this in a letter recently.
Once sales of THAI tickets by an agency resumed, the airline repaid 2.5 per cent of outstanding refunds (amount as of October 14, 2021) every month, Kalinta said in the            letter.
In addition, the airline repaid refunds corresponding to 20 per cent of an agent's monthly sales volume.
This amount increased to 40 per cent if an agency's monthly sales volume exceeded its historic sales (2019 sales adjusted by reduced production in Q1 2022).
This amount was repaid the following month, the airline added.
All the remaining debt amount was repaid by March 24, as per THAI's rehabilitation plan, the letter further read.
This repayment plan applied to all pending ticket refunds for original tickets issued on/before October 14, 2021, and was subject to change. THAI's team contacted agents to initiate the repayment process, it concluded.
