Air India extends Riyadh, Dammam flight suspensions through November 7

Dhaka:
Air India and Air India Express have extended the suspension of flights to and
from Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi Arabia through November 7, 2026, citing ongoing
regional conditions. Services to and from Jeddah will remain suspended through
October 31.
The
airlines announced the updated schedule on October 24, extending cancellations
that were previously set to end that day for Riyadh and Dammam.
In
a post on social media, Air India said the decision was made in view of the
prevailing situation in the region. The airlines have not confirmed whether the
suspensions will continue beyond the newly announced deadlines.
Passengers
with confirmed bookings issued on or before October 24 can opt to rebook for
another date or request a full refund, according to Air India. Travelers are
advised to contact the airline and check their booking status before heading to
the airport.
Other
Indian carriers have also disrupted services to Saudi Arabia. IndiGo announced
that flights to and from Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah would remain canceled
through October 31. Its Riyadh services were also suspended through that date.
The
extended cancellations could affect travelers visiting Saudi Arabia for
employment, family visits and religious pilgrimages, including Umrah.
