Amadeus posts 5.1 percent revenue growth in year's first half

Madrid : Travel technology company Amadeus reported solid financial growth in the first half of 2026 despite weaker global air traffic and continued geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East.

Group revenue increased 5.1 percent year over year at constant currency, while adjusted EBIT rose 4.9 percent and adjusted diluted earnings per share grew 7.3 percent. Free cash flow reached EUR 472.2 million, up 0.8 percent from the corresponding period.

Amadeus said the geopolitical situation in the Middle East began affecting global air traffic from March, contributing to weaker industry volumes. IATA recorded negative global air traffic growth in April and May, the first such occurrence outside the Covid-19 period in 15 years.

The company's Air IT Solutions segment recorded 8.7 percent revenue growth, supported by higher revenue per passenger and demand for additional technology solutions. Passen-gers boarded increased 1.1 percent during the period.

Hospitality and Other Solutions was the fastest-growing major segment, with revenue rising 9.2 percent, driven by new customer implementations and higher transaction volumes in hospitality and payments.

Air Distribution revenue increased 1.1 percent, although bookings declined 3.7 percent as cancellations and disruptions affected demand. Revenue per booking, however, rose 5.1 percent.
